About me...

Françoise Terseur

From a very young age, I viewed the world with a certain sadness and disillusionment. Painting became my refuge, a space of dreams and freedom. I learned to paint autodidactically, but I had many teachers who taught me how to see: the works I contemplated in the museums and galleries of Lyon, my hometown, where I spent much of my free time.

At nineteen, I encountered philosophy, and with it, a true awakening. It taught me to know myself better, to love life, to listen to others, and to discover the light that hides behind appearances. It was through philosophy that I learned to contemplate the beauty of forms, the language of colors, and the presence of something profound and transcendent in works born from authentic inspiration.

I have a deep admiration for the East and its simple, unpretentious vision. But I equally admire the great masters of classicism, who knew how to express beauty and ideals through art.

I continue to consider myself a learner, aware that artistic creation is inseparable from inner improvement. Masterpieces are born not only from technique, but also from silent work on ourselves. After all, the most important work of all is life itself.
