Françoise Terseur's painting is a search for a path to transcendence: "reading life" beyond the stereotypical concepts that still govern most social behaviors today, feeling inspired by emerging new values – reciprocity, profound peace, magic, compassion, respect for life in all its manifestations, and hope.

His inspiration stems from a constant questioning of the mystery of "being," driven by an ever-unsatisfied quest for origins, thus placing himself on a timeless plane. This gives his painting an atmosphere that is not only hermetic, in the sense of relating to mystery, but also one of closeness to the sacred.
